Volunteer signup for Gypsy Moon Ball
Just 3 weeks to Gypsy Moon Ball, and we’re signing up folks to help! If you can help setup, take down, staff registration for 30 minutes (or more), stock the snack tables, sweep the floor, take home recyclables for your pickup, etc. please sign up on this form.
If you can house visiting dancers, please email IndyContra@gmail.com or sign up on this form.
Thanks! It’s gonna be great!

9/25/12 LEDfoot with Ryan Smith Calling
We welcome a regular guest, Ryan Smith of Cincinnati, to call while LEDfoot plays. We welcome you to dance! Come by 7:30 if you’re new, have shoes on and start the first walk through at 7:45 if you’re “experienced.”
9/18 61st Pl. Project with Bob Duffy Calling
Bring friends! New dancer orientation at 7:30, first contra at 7:45. Why wait?
We appreciate help with pickup, sweeping, and putting stuff away, so we’re out the door and headed to MacNiven’s by 9:59 pm. Members of the church building committee lock up after us, and it’s a late night for them!
Possum Project & David Ernst.
Don’t know what a Possum Project is? Come dance & find out, September 11. Don’t forget our new start and end times, 7:45 to 9:45. We need to pickup, sweep, and put everything away, and be out the door so the church staff can lock it by 10pm on the nose! They’re volunteers, coming in late on a worknight to secure the building and we can’t keep them waiting.

Post Labor Day open band
On the day after Labor Day we’ll share the work of making music! All musicians are welcome to join the open band. John Teskey will call. Open band has a long history in contra dancing, and it’s lots of fun, in part because people can play all sorts of instruments! Making music together is a community activity, just like dancing together. Here’s the fabulous open band in Washington, DC:

New start & end times: 7:45-9:45!
Indy Contra, effective immediately, has new start and end times for our weekly Tuesday night dances. First contra is at 7:45 and waltzing must end by 9:45! We need to have all cleanup done (chairs stacked, fans and sound equipment away, floor swept, and everybody out the door) by 10:00pm or we turn into a pumpkin. Or worse. Trust us, it won’t be pretty!
Brian Hamshar Calling

August 28th, for those who didn’t dance enough at Sugar Hill, we have guest Brian Hamshar calling.
