Welcome to the ITMDG and to Indy’s contradance community!

One small warning! Contradancing can be habit-forming.

But don’t worry, we offer plenty of support if you want to get more involved!

You can become a member for the low price of just $12 per year. Membership entitles you to these fabulous privileges:

¯$1 off the admission price for regular dances¯ Voting privileges at the annual meeting to elect our board of directors¯
¯Quarterly newsletter with dance schedule and area contradance events¯Listing in the dance group directory, if desired¯

***Memberships expire at the end of each year. If you join after January, the cost is pro-rated for the remainder of the year a $1 per month.
However, if you join after June, the cost is for the remainder of the year plus the following year.

Note: ITMDGs email list is least expensive in cost and time. US mail is most expensive in time and cost. Members are solely responsible for keeping the group Secretary informed of their preferred method of notification and for keeping themselves properly subscribed to the email list. Even if you choose to be informed by email, written ballots must be returned to be counted. *If no boxes are checked, the email list is assumed. Go to www.indycontra.org for instructions on joining the email list.

All skills are welcome and needed! We are a volunteer-run organization.

Please help share the responsibilities to make a dance a wonderful experience!

__Hospitality: greet dancers, distribute nametags, bring refreshments, teach beginners to dance.

__Site cleanup: help close down the hall after the dance--sound equipment, fans, table display, chairs, sighns, floor sweeping.

__Publicity: design fliers, distribute fliers nearby and at other dances, help with newsletter, contact newspapers and other publicity outlets.

__Serve as director: volunteer to run as a board member or committee member in the annual election.

__Serve as talent scheduler: volunteer to act as scheduler for bands and callers.
