  • ITMDG Board Meeting Minutes - 9/11/2001

Present: Fiona Solkowski, Barry Levitt, Susan Meyer, Ed Paynter, Kay Benedict, Ardath Stroble and Glenn Grove

    Financial Report
Barry presented financial information for June, July, and August.

    Promotion/Advertising
Due to suggestions from the last board meeting, estimates for new postcards were presented. There was further discussion as to design and distribution. Kay volunteered to look into free ad possibilities in local and campus publications. Barry is looking into an entry for ITMDG in the "Weekend" section of the Indy Star newspaper.

    Gypsy Moon Ball
Discussed open issues for upcoming weekend dance.

    • The list of extra weekend activities around Indy was presented for board discussion.
    • A good possibility for the opening band was presented by Ardath. With board approval, an offer is being extended to the band. A sound person is still needed for the weekend, and may be rolled into the offer to the opening band.
    • Barry reported that early registration for the weekend is very slow.

    Next Meeting
A "Just In Case" board meeting is scheduled for the Tuesday prior to the Gypsy Moon Ball. October 23, at 7pm, at the Athenaeum.

Special thanks to all the members that were able to attend despite the terrible events of the day. 1

    Respectfully submitted,
    Fiona Solkowski
